SINGLE FAMILY HOUSE

Student project
Studio I
2009.
The tree, the natural element, becomes an architectural element integrating the space in floor plan and cross section. Depending on the character, rooms are either open to the tree-room or are just visually linked. The living room is connected to the tree-room with glazed sliding panels as well as to the outer space of the garden.
On the ground floor, plan is conceived as flowing, airy and flexible in its use. The 1st floor is, however, introverted by character, where the bedrooms and the central work / games room are located, with a gallery that spatially connects with the living space on the ground floor. The dominant material used is wood, as a facade and floor covering.
