The broader concept is based on emphasizing the identity of Šalata as a sort of oasis and a green zone in urban tissue of the city center. Access area to ŠRC Šalata turns into a pedestrian zone that connects Donji Grad with Schlosser stairs and KBC Šalata and northern part of Šalata. Automotive traffic is transferred to Novakova Street, which leads to the hospital complex and ŠRC Šalata.

Public facilities are divided into activities/gathering areas and green areas. The criterion for determining the position of certain types of space is the contact with ŠRC Šalata, surrouding vistas, terrain, etc. The way of shaping green surfaces that remains consistent throughout the enclosure, giving a visual impression of the whole.
