2015.
The main function of Emergency hospital KBC Split consists of three main spatial units for acute, subacute and ambulatory patients, including reanimation, diagnostic and operating blocks and emergency medical facilities , space for medical staff and administration. The organization of spatial assemblies has been set up to provide access to healthcare services to all patients, respecting the default parameters in terms of the required number and size of individual spaces, flow of functions, linking and overlapping of the contents of spatial, functional and technical units.
The main functional parts of the building are: ambulance complex, treatment of acute and subacute patients, and the emergency reception department.
The design of the building creates two distinctly distinct volumes - the posture and the upper cuboid. The Postament is elongated shallow quadrant with a dimension of 108x39.5m height of the crown of 4.5m, laid along the northern line of the parcel. The upper cube is placed in the post, approximately cubic in size 34x36m, height 11.6m, removed from the console above the postmark on the south facade. The two volumes differ in the material - hard rough stucco stone of Postament and white smooth semi-transparent facade of the upper cube.
